Find out how Dr. Jeremy Chan can improve your quality of life by treating your snoring and sleep apnea. And since his treatment is nonsurgical, you can experience restful sleep sooner than you think. Come experience Arizona’s trusted sleep dentist.
With the use of one of our custom oral appliances, you can sleep soundly again. Studies have shown that with this solution, sufficient oxygen is able to reach the lungs by keeping the air passage open throughout the night. Our patients have been excited by this non-surgical treatment that can replace a CPAP. These dental appliances are ideal since they are small, comfortable, and effective. Since they don’t require power and are very compact, they are easy to transport and ideal for active adults.

Sleep Apnea or Obstructive Sleep Disorder (OSA) is a sleeping condition when your airway partially collapses while you’re sleeping, causing you to snore loudly or even stop breathing. When your airway collapses your body responds with a snore that temporarily wakes you. Sleeping and breathing disruptions can occur frequently throughout the night, sometimes lasting up to a minute. Oftentimes people aren’t aware they have sleep apnea. The first sign is usually snoring, however more severe symptoms can occur including daytime fatigue, irritability, inability to concentrate, higher blood pressure, stroke, heart attack and even death.
Using sophisticated ProSomnus® sleep technology, Dr. Chan will fit a custom-fabricated oral appliance (like a mouth guard) to manage your sleep apnea. The appliance works by holding your lower jaw in a precise position which forces the soft tissue in your throat and neck to no longer collapse as you sleep. The appliance will be made to custom-fit your teeth and is a very comfortable option that doesn’t require power, hoses, distilled water, or the like.
Oral appliances are an easy to use alternative to a traditional CPAP. In 2015, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine issued updated parameters recommending the use of oral appliances for those who wish to use this lower-cost, easier to use the option or those who’ve tried a CPAP and were unable to use it for one reason or another.
Isn’t it time you got the restful sleep you deserve? Improve your health and life by coming to visit Dr. Chan for a sleep apnea treatment consultation.
